Day 1 - Arrival to Dar Es Salam and flight to Ruaha
Arrive at Julius Nyerere International Airport (Dar es Salaam) and connect on a domestic flight to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s largest wilderness.
Afternoon game drive.
Day 2 - Ruaha National Park
Full day safari in Ruaha, famous for elephant herds, predators (lions, leopards, wild dogs) and dramatic baobab-studded landscapes.
Day 3 – Flight to Serengeti National Park
Morning game drive in Ruaha or relax at the lodge. Afternoon flight from Ruaha via Arusha to the Serengeti National Park.
Afternoon game drive in northern Serengeti.
Day 4 – Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day on safari in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants and vast herds of wildebeest and zebras.
Dinner and overnight in the Serengeti.
Optional: Begin your day with a spectacular hot-air balloon safari at sunrise, floating silently above the Serengeti plains before landing for a champagne bush breakfast. (Advance booking required).
Day 5 - Drive to Ngorongoro Crater
Drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Afternoon at leisure or optional visit to the Olduvai Gorge.
Day 6 – Full Day Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Spot elephants, black rhinos, lions and abundant plains game.
Picnic lunch inside the crater. Visit of Masai Village.
Day 7 - Flight to Mafia Island
Morning drive back to Arusha/Dar es Salaam and connect to a flight to Mafia Island. Arrival and transfer to beach lodge.
Day 8 - 10 - Mafia island
Three days of relaxation and exploration on Mafia Island. Options include:
Snorkeling & diving, whale shark excursions (Oct–March), dhows sailing, spice tour or cultural visits, simply enjoying the pristine beaches and tropical surroundings. Dinner & overnight: Mafia Island lodge for all three nights.
Day 11 - Flight Home
Transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Dar es Salaam and international departure.
