Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta is one of the world’s largest inland deltas and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This unique ecosystem is a lush labyrinth of waterways, lagoons, and islands in the heart of the Kalahari Desert.
Visitors can enjoy mokoro (traditional canoe) safaris, guided walking tours, and wildlife spotting. The delta is home to elephants, hippos, lions, and hundreds of bird species. Its seasonal flooding creates a dynamic and ever-changing landscape, making every visit unique.
The Makgadikgadi Pans
The Makgadikgadi Pans are vast salt flats, remnants of an ancient lake that once covered much of Botswana. This otherworldly landscape is breathtaking, especially during sunrise and sunset.
During the wet season, the pans transform into temporary wetlands attracting flamingos, pelicans, and other migratory birds. It’s also a great place to witness meerkats and other desert-adapted wildlife.
Chobe National Park
Chobe National Park is famous for its massive elephant population, believed to be one of the largest in Africa.
The park spans over 11,000 square kilometers and offers diverse landscapes including savannah, floodplains, and forests. A highlight is the Chobe Riverfront, where boat safaris allow visitors to observe elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and a stunning array of birds.
